Annual Plants
Annual Plants are those that grow from seed, mature, flower, set their own seeds, and then die all within the space of one growing season. They are distinguished from biennials, which take two years to achieve a similar cycle, and form perennials which die back and grow again for a number of years. Familiar garden annuals include stocks, nasturtiums, petunias, godetias and aster.
