Apart from cartoons, Walt Disney also produced nature films and several exciting adventure films.

Disney, Walt (1901-1966), was a cartoonist and motion picture producer. One of his most famous creations was the character Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse first appeared in Meet Steamboat Willie in 1928. This was one of the first movies to use individual drawings to show each movement. It was also Disney s first sound movie and Disney himself provided the voice for Mickey Mouse. The first full-length cartoon ever made was Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It took four years to make and about 477,000 photographed drawings were used.
Disney's other full-length cartoons include: Fantasia (1940), Bambi (1942), Cinderella (1950), Alice in Wonderland (1951), Lady and the Tramp (1955), Sleeping Beauty (1959) and The 101 Dalmatians (1961). Apart from cartoons, Disney produced many other movies, such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mary Popping, and many nature films, such as Living Desert. In 1955, he built Disneyland, an amusement park, at Anaheim, California.
